Dana's specialization is in modern and contemporary literatures of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Oceania with a designated concentration in the Department of Gender Studies. Her research focuses on an examination of cultural geography in the Greater Caribbean--specifically the literary imagination of confinement and spatial decolonization. Broader interests include Postcolonial and Feminist Theories, Diaspora and Indigenous Studies, Environmental/Ecocritical Studies.
